Using Home Smart Fix

The service helps UK homeowners organise projects and records and find participating trade businesses. Users must be adults and provide accurate information they are entitled to share. Do not use the service for spam, fraud, harassment or sharing another person’s private information without authority.

Introductions and trade work

Home Smart Fix provides the platform. The homeowner and tradesperson must agree the work scope, exclusions, price, qualifications, insurance, contract, dates and applicable cancellation rights. Listing approval is an administrative decision and does not independently verify skills, insurance or credentials. Introductions do not guarantee work or attendance.

Proposed launch pricing

Homeowner registration and connections are free. The proposed tradesperson introduction fee is £5–£30 according to the saved job-size estimate, with a maximum of five paid or temporarily reserved connections per project. No mandatory subscription or completion commission applies to new connections under this launch plan. The exact total and applicable tax must be shown and accepted before any live purchase. Live charges remain disabled.

Payment and access

When test checkout is available, it uses sandbox details and moves no real money. A homeowner-approved, verified connection payment is required for professional project collaboration, quote sending and booking progression. Refunded, disputed or revoked connections lose access. Job-payment collection, tradesperson payouts, escrow and payment guarantees are not available through this prototype.

AI and property information

AI suggestions, design imagery and approximate measurements are illustrative and may be incomplete or wrong. Obtain professional diagnosis, measured surveys, approvals and safety checks before work. Home Smart Record is user-maintained information, not independent certification or a legal property pack. Do not rely on the app for an emergency response.

Problems and statutory rights

Report account, listing and payment problems through Help & account requests or the contact email. We may restrict abusive or fraudulent use. These draft terms do not remove statutory consumer rights or exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Final dispute-handling and liability provisions require review before commercial launch.
